AirSep Focus Portable Oxygen Concentrator

AirSep released one of the first FAA-approved portable oxygen concentrators so it’s not surprising that they manufactured the world’s smallest and lightest portable oxygen concentrator. The AirSep Focus is so small and tiny you can wear it on your belt! Its small size makes it perfect for the active oxygen user looking for something to give them more freedom and mobility. 

The World’s Smallest and Lightest POC

Weighing in at an astonishing 1.75 pounds and standing just 6.4” H x 4.8” W x 2.5” L the AirSep Focus is hands down the smallest portable oxygen concentrator ever manufactured. Because it is so small, it only offers a pulse flow setting of 2. It operates using an external battery to keep the machine as light as possible so you barely notice that you are wearing it.

Whether you are exercising, taking a walk around the neighborhood, or running errands your AirSep Focus will never weigh you down or have you feeling like you’re wasting energy carrying it around.

You will always be able to find a comfortable way to carry your AirSep Focus. There are three different carrying options and one of them is hands-free! The custom carrying case allows you to carry your Focus over your shoulder, in your hand like a briefcase, or it can be worn on your belt!

Two Battery Options

The AirSep Focus operates using external batteries only. Your package will come with two micro batteries that weigh 0.5 pounds each. The micro batteries fit directly in the side pouch of the custom carrying case, or you can put them in the micro battery case and clip them onto your waistband or belt.

The other battery option is the AirSep 8-Cell external battery. The 8-cell battery can be clipped to your waistband or belt, but it will not fit in the side pouch on your carrying case. However, if you’re looking to get the most battery life for your Focus, the optional 8-cell battery is a must-have! The 8-Cell battery requires a special adapter to use with the AirSep Focus.

Here are the expected battery life ratings for the AIrSep Focus:

• Micro Battery Expected Battery Life: Up to 1.5 hours per charge
• 8-Cell Battery Expected Battery Life: Up to 3.5 hours per charge

Multiple Charging Options

The AirSep Focus comes with a universal power supply that includes both AC and DC power cords. You can use the AC or DC power supply to power your Focus and recharge your micro batteries!

At home, you will use the AC power cord to plug into any wall outlet. And you will use the DC power cord while you are on the go in your car, truck, RV, or boat.

You can plug your concentrator into the power supply to supply you with oxygen or you can plug your micro batteries directly into the power supply to recharge them. This feature is one of the favorites among our patients. It essentially lets you have an external battery charger wherever you go!

If you opt to go with the 8-Cell battery, it cannot be recharged using the AirSep Focus Universal Power Supply. You will need to get the AirSep External Battery Charger in order to recharge your 8-cell battery.

Single Flow Rate

In order to keep the AirSep Focus under 2 pounds, AirSep had to use a smaller motor, smaller compressor, and smaller sieve beds. Due to the size restrictions, the AirSep Focus only offers one oxygen setting which is a pulse flow setting of 2.

This makes for simple and easy operation. Simply connect a power supply or a battery to your Focus, turn your concentrator on, and it will start supplying you with oxygen. You don’t have to do anything else!
