The custom carrying case gives you two comfortable and convenient ways to carry your FreeStyle 3; over your shoulder or like a briefcase. Both the shoulder strap and the handle strap are padded for extra comfort. This means you won’t have to deal with the strap digging into your shoulder and you won’t have to constantly adjust your concentrator to be comfortable.

New Battery System

AirSep completely changed the battery system in its FreeStyle line of units. Instead of having an internal battery and an external battery, the FreeStyle 3 now only operates with an external battery.

This simplifies the usability of the FreeStyle 3 A LOT… You only have to worry about one kind of battery, you don’t need extra chargers, and the new battery connects directly into the concentrator so you don’t have to worry about wearing it on your waistband.

Changing batteries on the go is extremely easy with the upgraded battery system. With the push of a button, you can release the battery that is installed in your concentrator and simply slide a new one in place!

The FreeStyle 3 carrying case has a special side pocket designed to carry an extra battery. So if you ever need extra battery life or if you want to play it safe you can keep a fully charged battery with you at all times.

Same Simple Operation

The AirSep FreeStyle 3 has been one of the most user-friendly portable oxygen concentrators since it was released years ago. And the new design didn’t change the operation at all. In fact, the new battery system made it even easier!

The FreeStyle 3 control panel is about as simple as they come. It’s equipped with 4 push buttons; one for each flow rate and one to check your remaining battery life.

All you have to do to turn your FreeStyle 3 on is push your desired flow rate and voila, you will begin to receive your oxygen. If you need to change your flow rate, simply push the button with the corresponding flow rate and the FreeStyle will increase or decrease the flow rate.

To check your remaining battery life simply press the battery button. There will be an LED indication system with 4 lights to tell you your remaining battery life.

• 1 Light = 0-25%
• 2 Lights = 26-50%
• 3 Lights = 51-75%
• 4 Lights = 76-100%

And don’t worry, when your FreeStyle 3 is in the custom carrying case you will be able to access your control panel to change flow rates and check your remaining battery life.

Minimal Maintenance

Keeping your FreeStyle 3 in working order is not a difficult task. You only have two pieces or required maintenance and they will take you 5 minutes apiece… 10 minutes a week is all it will take for you to maintain your FreeStyle 3.

The most important regular maintenance you will need to do is wash and/or replace your filters once every week or two depending on usage. Even if you don’t use it, you will need to wash the filter to keep your FreeStyle 3 in top shape. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to wash your filter:

• Turn your FreeStyle 3 off
• Remove the oval filter cover on the front of the concentrator to expose your filter
• Remove your sponge filter from your concentrator
• Thoroughly wash filter with warm water and mild soap
• Let your filter air dry
• Inspect your filter for any rips or tears (replace your filter if you find any)
• Put filter back in your FreeStyle 3 and replace the filter cover

The only other maintenance you will be required to do is cleaning your concentrator. Now this isn’t really mandatory, but it will protect you from falling ill, experiencing a COPD exacerbation, and it will keep your machine looking great!

Washing your concentrator is simple, here are step-by-step instructions:

• Turn your FreeStyle 3 off and remove it from the carrying case
• Dampen a cloth with warm water and mild soap (emphasis on damp to prevent water damage)
• Take dampened cloth and wipe down the exterior of your FreeStyle 3
• Wipe it down with a dry towel after you are done
• Take a Q-Tip and wipe down the vents on the front of the concentrator
