Respironics BiPAP autoSV Advanced System One with Humidifier
For patients that have more complex sleeping disorders, the Respironics BiPAP autoSV Advanced-System One with Heated Humidifier is the solution.
If you suffer from standard obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) or advanced stages of OSA, the BiPAP autoSV Advanced System will greatly benefit you.
You will also get to enjoy the incredible benefits of Auto EPAP technology, engineered right into the device, Auto EPAP technology continuously monitors each individual breath and the machine will automatically adjust the pressure settings according to your needs.
Other exciting features include the Servo Ventilation algorithm for seamless breathing, and the System One Resistance Control found in all Respironics 60 series devices that patients have grown to know and love.
Bi-Flex Technology Pressure Relief
Bi-Flex technology not only boosts the overall comfort during sleep therapy treatment, but it will also boost your compliance to use the BiPAP machine.
Bi-Flex technology is extremely successful in replicating a natural sleeping experience by reducing pressure at the beginning of 3 key points in the breathing cycle:
1. The Transition from Exhalation to Inhalation 2. The Transition from Inhalation to Exhalation 3. During Exhalation
Bi-Flex levels can be adjusted to 1, 2, or 3 to reflect the increased pressure relief that occurs at the end of inhalation and at the beginning of exhalation.
An issue that reduces patient’s compliance to use their BiPAP machine is the annoying occurrence of rainout, which is when water particles accumulate at the mask, then with any subtle movement, a rush of water hits your face causing you to wake up.
No longer wake up with a splash of water and instead sleep soundly through the night with the Humidity Control on the Respironics BiPAP autoSV device.
The System One Humidity Control consistently evaluates room temperature, airflow and humidity to determine a humidity setting that is optimal for that specific environment.
Thanks to sensors inside and outside of the machine it is able to adjust to changing environmental conditions.
Respironics Dry Box Technology
To protect your BiPAP device from costly water damage, both the Humidifier and Water Chamber feature Respironics proven Dry Box technology.
Even if the Water Chamber is completely filled you can tilt and flip the device upside down without any water reaching the internal components.
If any water does manage to escape the chamber, the Dry Box will capture it and prevent it from reaching the device.
Servo Ventilation (SV) Algorithm
The clinical benefits of the SV algorithm provides a smoother breathing pattern by monitoring and tracking the pressure changes breath by breath, ensuring proper breathing cycles.
System One Resistance Control
It doesn’t matter which mask you use, the Resistance Control allows both your mask and BiPAP machine to work together to deliver the perfect amount of pressure.
Each mask is equipped with a numbering system that defines variable resistance.
The BiPAP device utilizes the numbering system to coordinate and operate as efficiently as possible with each mask type.
Based on the type of mask being used, the Resistance Control will automatically adjust the pressure settings at the mask to deliver a consistent pressure from the tube to the mask.
With the presence of EPAP technology, System One is able to aid in the observation of obstructed against clear airways.
This is obtainable thanks to the Auto-titrating algorithm, which allows the BiPAP machine to operate like an Auto BiPAP or Auto CPAP machine by adjusting to your breathing and maintaining a clear airway.
This feature can be enabled or disabled by pushing the ramp button on the front of the BiPAP machine.
The benefit of the Ramp feature is it will reduce the pressure at the start of treatment and then gradually increase the pressure to your prescribed pressure setting. Helping you fall asleep more quickly and comfortably.
Adjustable Rise Time
When enabled the machine offers a comfort feature known as Rise Time. Which is the amount of time it takes the device to change from the expiratory pressure setting to the inspiratory pressure setting.
Rise Time can be adjusted in 3 settings, with 0 being the fastest and 3 being the slowest. The Rise Time levels reflect the slowed response of the pressure increase that occurs at the beginning of inspiration. If using Bi-Flex, the Rise Time cannot be adjusted.
